TESA is extremely community conscious and is involved in a number of initiatives such as:
- Full annual scholarship for 2 girls at Get Ahead Projects in Whittlesea, Eastern Cape, including fees, books, transport and uniforms.
- Has adopted Marconi Beam Primary where 120 children are fed daily and the children are transported to cultural events like productions at the Baxter Theatre
- Supplied a steel fence to the value of R100 000 to the Roberston home for Abused women in June 2008.
- Adopted Khayamnadi Old Age home in Whittlesea, Eastern Cape, together with Get Ahead Projects, having just given the home a Christmas in Winter party with meal, gifts, washing machine and microwave ( 9 August 2008)
- Implemented an HIV-Know your status campaign for TESA staff with testing and in-house counselling.
- Supported the Sivenathi home for the physically & mentally disabled children in Blackheath, meeting their wish list needs and visting the children at Christmas with gifts.
- Implemented a successful Drug Awareness Campaign with regular testing and counselling resulting in staff recovering from drug habits.
- Implemented a porridge kitchen initiative to feed factory staff breakfast daily.
